Why am I not asked for
    Everywhere I go
    They ask where’s your……
    Don’t ask me
    Why don’t you ask THEM
Why am I not asked for
    They ask how old is……
Why don’t you do the math
Why am I not asked for
    Don’t you see it hurts
    To think bout her

  2. My favorite poem is the one we seen in class together when we first started in the poetry unit with the guy who had on the Martin Luther King shirt on. I like his poem because it was speaking the truth and about our society and the way we do things

  3. I woke up this morning
    Tears running down my face
    I don’t know why
Why am I in this place?

    Look, there’s a door
It takes me straight to hell
    I can’t do this anymore
God just ring my death bell

    Its raining outside
    What has happened?
    I know when it rains
    Something bad has happened

    What have I done?
    I know it wasn’t right
    I feel horrible
Will I live through the night?

There is nothing I can do
    All has been said
Now I just sit here and wait
    Waiting for the end

Everyone says it’s not my fault
    But I know the truth
    All I know is
I’m sorry for what I have done to you

    I hate being this wedge
    Between the two of you
    Like I previously said
I don’t know what to do

    So just say goodbye
I know it’s for the best
    Forget our memories
    But leave in the rest

    Maybe one day
    We can be friends
    But for now
It’s best to bring this to an end

  4. My favorite poem is Life Is Fine by Langston Hughes . I went down to the river,
I set down on the bank.
I tried to think but couldn't,
So I jumped in and sank.

I came up once and hollered!
I came up twice and cried!
If that water hadn't a-been so cold
    I might've sunk and died.

But it was Cold in that water! It was cold!

    I took the elevator
    Sixteen floors above the ground.
    I thought about my baby
And thought I would jump down.

I stood there and I hollered!
I stood there and I cried!
If it hadn't a-been so high
    I might've jumped and died.

But it was High up there! It was high!

So since I'm still here livin',
I guess I will live on.
    I could've died for love--
But for livin' I was born

Though you may hear me holler,
And you may see me cry--
    I'll be dogged, sweet baby,
If you gonna see me die.

Life is fine! Fine as wine! Life is fine!

i choose this poem because it stood out to me the most out of all of his poems that i've read . I choose this Poet because hes my favorite poet and he speaks only the truth.

  5. To trust someone means you trust them with your life
To trust someone is based on your clarity of judgement
To trust is to believe that the person has you 100 %
    To trust
    To trust
Who could you trust in your greatest moment in need?
Who will be worthy of having your trust?
Will you be able to confide your trust among certain people?

I like this poem becuase people should be able to trust in one another. It takes a while to earn trust for an second chance .

  6. A Psalm of Life
    by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream! ?
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.

Life is real! Life is earnest!
    And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.

    Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
    Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each to-morrow
    Find us farther than to-day.

Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
    Funeral marches to the grave.

In the world's broad field of battle,
    In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
Be a hero in the strife!

    Trust no Future, howe'er pleasant!
Let the dead Past bury its dead!
    Act,--act in the living Present!
    Heart within, and God o'erhead!

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
    And, departing, leave behind us
    Footprints on the sands of time;

    Footprints, that perhaps another,
    Sailing o'er life's solemn main,
    A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
    Seeing, shall take heart again.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
    With a heart for any fate;
    Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.

  7. A candle within me
    A small flame burning,
Fueled by your eyes, your laughter, your astonishing smile.

    A yearning within me
    An aching longing,
Deepened by your joy, your charm, your ephemeral grace.

    A love within me
    A passion everlasting,
You dance among the stars, and in my fevered heart.

  10. YOUR FRIEND A FRIEND FOR LIFETIME

Acquaintances are many but friends are very rare
For with a true and trusting friend your secrets you can share
Your friend will comfort you and advise you and you will not betray
Your friend will never disown you and as your friend will stay
When others do not wish to know you your friend as your friend remain
And feel lucky in your lifetime if one loyal friend you gain
Your friend will always stand by you no matter come what may
And when you ask your friend for help your friend will not turn you away
No your friend will stand by you when you are feeling down
When others shun you as if you were an outcast of the town
Acquaintances like Nature's Seasons they come to your life and go
But your friend a friend for lifetime and the bond of friendship grow
And the one who betrays your trust could never be your friend
Your friend to you is ever true and one on whom you can depend.

  11. I slept in you bed today
    It was warm and cozy
Now I know you told me not to
    But I had to
I wish you would forgive me
For I have disrespected your simple request
